Elliott Davis, LLC (USA) agreed to acquire Joseph Decosimo and Company, PLLC (USA)

The merged firms will have more than 800 employees in 17 offices across South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio and the Cayman Islands. The firms in a statement Wednesday announced plans to become Elliott Davis Decosimo on Jan. 1. Rick Davis, managing shareholder of Elliott Davis, will lead the combined firm. Decosimo Managing Principal Nick Decosimo will serve on the executive committee, which will include representatives from both firms. The combined firm will maintain all current office locations. “Our firms share common cultures and a commitment to providing superior service and expertise to our clients,” Decosimo said. “We look forward to building upon our individual successes to create a firm with a more powerful regional focus and an even broader array of capabilities and expertise to better serve our clients. In 2013, revenues for Elliott Davis increased by 14%. So far in 2014, Decosimo has experienced 8% revenue growth. Over the past three years, Elliott Davis has posted 24% revenue growth and 40% growth in employees. The merger is expected to increase prospects for growth, the statement said.
