These products and services include: professional IT Consulting; leading edge data and telecommunications equipment; 24/7 network monitoring; and an innovative cloud-based Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) offering. US-based business application, technology and consulting company SilverSun Technologies, Inc.’s SWK Technologies, Inc. business technology solutions and services subsidiary has signed a letter of intent to acquire US-based managed service provider ProductiveTech, Inc. ProductiveTech provides 24/7/365 remote network monitoring, data backup, business continuity and cloud computing services. Founded in 1984, PTI is a computer and network services company serving Southern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware. The deal is expected to add, based on 2014 financials, more than USD 1.7m in annualised revenue, USD 930,000 of which was recurring subscription revenue, SilverSun said. Mark Meller, CEO of SilverSun, stated, “Our MSP practice has been rapidly growing, but the business has essentially been a local one, servicing customers in the New York City metropolitan area. Our plan has always been to expand our geographic reach to regions where we currently have customers from our other technology businesses, such as Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Southern California, and Syracuse, NY. As a result of the transaction, CSO Insights will be integrated within the MHI Research Institute, the research arm of MHI Global. “The powerful combination of data and expertise from CSO Insights and the MHI Research Institute allows us to offer best-in-class sales performance data and research,” Byron Matthews, MHI Global president and general manager, said in a statement. “In doing so, we are helping our clients to connect the dots by solving for complex (business-to-business) sales strategic issues.” CSO Insights operates as a sales effectiveness research and benchmarking company.

LUNAR Design provides design and product development services for consumer, technology and medical products. The move brings Lunar close to McKinsey Digital, which focuses on digital transformation representing a natural progression to enhance advisory services related to digitizing processes, rethinking business models and improving the customer experience for digital consumers. The three premises underlying the acquisition are: i) Digital transformation will comprise an increasing share of McKinsey’s offerings, ii) McKinsey seeks to improve its capability in top-quality design on a global scale (Lunar has two offices in the US along with one each in Europe and Asia), iii) competitive differentiation for McKinsey’s clients, and therefore for the consulting firm itself, rests on the ability to offer great user experiences. Big Four professional services firm KPMG, through its UK subsidiary KPMG LLP, has acquired Nunwood Consulting, an independent consultancy specialising in customer experience management and feedback technology which has offices in Leeds and London. Nunwood advises companies across the retail, telecoms, financial and leisure industries with annual revenues for 2014 were £8m. The acquisition enables KPMG to offer a full-service customer management programme to its clients, from mapping the customer journey to measuring ongoing feedback. Richard Fleming, head of advisory at KPMG, said: “Today’s deal is strategically very important to KPMG as it will enable us to provide clients with the tools they require to be truly customer-centric. Nunwood’s understanding of the issues driving customer behaviour, and the way they focus on improving customers’ experiences mirrors our approach of putting technology at the heart of everything we do.” KPMG provides accounting and management consulting services.
