Accenture Acquires Maglan, Expands Security Services in Israel

NEW YORK; June 20, 2016 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced today it has acquired Maglan, a privately-held Israeli cybersecurity company specializing in offensive cyber simulation, vulnerability countermeasures, cyber forensics and malware defenses, and IT security research and development with a focus on threat intelligence. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition brings to Accenture a team of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals, who honed their skills fighting cyber crime and confronting cyber espionage around the globe. The acquisition advances Accenture’s strategy of leveraging Israel as a cybersecurity innovation hub to provide clients with cross-industry cyber defense consulting. Maglan has specialized tools and methodologies that will augment Accenture’s full range of security services and defensive countermeasures, comprising strategy and risk management through enterprise and extended enterprise security.

Based in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, Maglan was founded in 1998 and has performed extensive penetration tests for numerous organizations in Europe. Its clients include companies in the financial services, telecommunications and automotive industries.

With this acquisition, Accenture has now made a total of the five investments in the cybersecurity space in the past several months. Earlier investments include the acquisition of FusionX, a company with a 20-year cyber defense legacy; the acquisition of Cimation, an affiliate of Audubon Companies and an Industrial Internet of Things consulting company; a minority investment in Endgame Inc., a provider of cybersecurity software solutions; and a minority investment in Team8, a cybersecurity foundry.
Acquisition of Exprodat Consulting Ltd by Getech Group plc

Getech (AIM; GTC), the geoscience business specialising in the provision of data, studies and services to the oil, gas and mining exploration sectors, is pleased to announce the execution and completion of an agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of Exprodat Consulting Limited, a company specialising in the provision of geographical information systems (“GIS”) software and services to the oil and gas industry (the “Agreement”).
Getech has previously stated a strategic aim of acquiring companies with clear commercial fit and synergies, in parallel with the strategic aim of organic growth. In April 2015 it completed the acquisition of ERCL Limited, an oil and gas consultancy based in Henley on Thames.
In common with its clients, Getech’s work depends on the ability to manage, present and interpret geographical data. Throughout the oil and gas industry, GIS systems are used as part of the work at all stages from exploration through to production, and virtually all clients use the ArcGIS software platform, provided by ESRI.
Atlantic Canada solution provider sells to gaming and lottery consulting firm

Bulletproof Solutions Inc. has announced its acquisition by Gaming Laboratories International and affiliates (the GLI Group) for an undisclosed figure.
The entire leadership team at the Atlantic Canada IT provider will stay on board according to GLI, which offers testing, professional services, consultation, auditing, risk and compliance, field inspections, security audits, and more in the lottery and gambling industry.
“The investment further underscores the GLI Group’s commitment to Canada, and in particular, New Brunswick and the Atlantic Provinces,” the new parent company said in a statement. “Both companies plan to leverage Bulletproof’s strong IT services capabilities throughout other provinces in Canada and in the United States.” It is headquartered in Lakewood, New Jersey, but has offices in Burnaby, BC and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Through the acquisition, Bulletproof’s services, in areas including network and security consulting, custom software, unified communications, IP video surveillance and education services are being made available to gaming, lotteries and voting machine related companies, sectors that the GLI Group operates in.
GLI Group has also said that they foresee expanding Bulletproof throughout Canada and globally, although New Brunswick will remain the base of operations.
Quick Heal acquires Junco Technologies, launches cyber security arm

Accenture acquires dgroup

The acquisition will increase Accenture’s digital consulting capabilities in the German market and strengthen the broad range of services Accenture provides to support digital transformation, primarily for retail and consumer goods companies.
dgroup, which was founded in 2001, employs approximately 60 people and has locations in Hamburg and Dusseldorf. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, and completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
dgroup provides a range of services, primarily for retail and consumer goods companies, which include e-commerce and multi-channel services, online marketing and analytics, application development, IT architecture and project management. It offers consulting advice and methodologies to support digital innovation and it provides clients with transformation and execution services to develop new digital ventures.

Specialist consultancy BiPRO joins Ramboll Environ

Ameri100 acquires SAP consulting firm

Ameri Holdings Inc., a Princeton-based SAP consulting firm, announced Wednesday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bigtech Software Private Ltd., another SAP consulting firm.
Bigtech Software, based in India, will strengthen Ameri100’s SAP services capabilities, offshore delivery and presence in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets, it said in a prepared statement.
